  1. An article recently highlighted the plight of an African family of eight stuck living in a motel in Hamilton. So why are we still bringing people here when we have people like this stuck in a motel. We need to ensure we have decent housing first then we can bring people in.

  2. covid pa Good questions you ask. But the mismatch between bringing in people and having sufficient housing stock has been going so long that the conclusion must be that each department or agency is in a silo each working to a CONTRACT not for the good running of NZ. Sometimes good institutions do more than the terms of a contract, if they are being run by a government department that has practical measures in place that ensure that good basic things are done that match the values and responsibilities it carries.

Unfortunately neolib insists on matching contractual tightly drawn targeted lists which matter more than people.
