Finally government takes an interest – in what the wider family is doing for these children. Did I hear the echo of the word ‘feral’ about these people remote from the beltway? The children of a homeschooled child being homeschooled educated by him to perhaps follow the tradition of Graham in 1941? Are we advancing under Labour’s ‘tender, people-oriented’ hand and National’s Randian one, to a Back to the Future scenario that doesn’t have the successful end of the movie? Are we doomed to friction rather than fiction-like outcomes?
