Here is something for the well remunerated peeps at the apex of Auckland to do for the community. Can it be that tip fees are too high – that people constantly moving have to get rid of stuff quickly but have no transport – that people have to beg their friends or kids to take rubbish away and the perps will take it but would rather spend tip fees on RTDs and dump stuff?

The question these days should be after you people get stuck on low pay, you under-pay and deny them a settled habitation, then fine them for misdemeanours, how can that be changed to a more rational and humane system. The Auckland mega-Council has to go to the poor peeps and offer them services, such as low cost (or free) household collection of large items etc. and help run their households tidily. The idea of individuals having responsibility for everything in their lives only works if they are enabled to access what they need to fulfil requirements which takes money, time and skills. People moving from landlord to garage, schools, unpleasant neighbourhoods have more than enough problems.
