Wood says although the initial five-year funded Programme has come to an end, the research team intends to continue this important work and is currently seeking funding to do so.

When I was in Switzerland I remember they were concerned about the water quality of their lakes. They generally run things well; this report on theirs. How do we compare to them?

We don’t face the size and reason for this dumping of toxic waste, but on the coast at Taranaki we had Ivor Watkins Dow? amongst others which have left behind poisons to many living things.
