  1. In case other people are overwhelmed by the gamut of situations, opinions and confusing reports from media and the internet, I am just noting a link here. It appears that there is a concerted attempt in Christchurch to discuss intelligently and learn stuff that will aid the thoughts and actions of alert and concerned citizens. Great on first view of the range of activity. And I though Christchurch was a bit dopey and conservative! Dear, dear. It seems that John Minto is well behind it.

This is an example of endeavour, youthful athleticism etc. Let’s look at the good and build on it, if we can find it. These teenagers need to be harnessed, and if they agree, learn to be athletic coaches, learn sport medicine and do something with their talents. That’s positive.

Don’t keep hardly any in Mordor, if they go through programs, they get skills which are required to be put to legal use. And gradually if reoffending occurs, it will come down to overparking or parking on yellow lines. Let’s make sweet lemonade out of useful lemons, even if they aren’t perfect – catch them before they go all bad, inside they will still be sweet!

    1. If you have listened to the above song about being smarter – that’s women over men BTW, there is another link that came up and worth a few minutes to see and hear this sterling performance (or Russian or German denomination!) by Hvorostovsky and Kaufmann of
In the Depths of the Temple about male friendship and solidarity.

They and the great musicians behind them have outperformed every other duet singing this from Bizets The Pearl Fishers. Hvorostovsky is now dead, so I invite you to think the first positive thing about Russia for ? years, and take this opportunity to see and hear the great Russian at the height of his career.
