I notice – the obsession for biking and mountain biking is from a majority of blokes, and that blokes are behind pushing through the rights to build new cycleways and to break down vegetation in doing so. With the rain dumps from climate change this is anti-environment activity which takes mud from land to rivers and sea, bad for the health of our waterways and countryside. So is it just a bunch of townies pushing to have their own way?
Meanwhile the boring, unexciting, non-competitive activity of having babies, a special human activity and a serious one, hardly rates for expenditure available to serve the needs and health of young parents! Birthing units, small hospital clinics, are becoming as rare in some places as little blue penguins’ boxes. Save the humans – Greenpeace may like to take this up.
I wonder if Labour will ever get down on its knees to us and beg forgiveness, having found once again what labour really is about?
