I’m sorry – Iran or America – who is the ‘imminent threat’ and don’t dare think Trump won
Trump just made the world far more dangerous.
Trump just made the world far more dangerous.
The White House ceremony (it would be wrong to call it a press conference) in which the President gracelessly accepted the Iranian Government’s de-escalation of the international crisis which he, himself, had unleashed by authorising Soleimani’s assassination, was a vivid illustration of the new reality in world affairs.
That’s right, this entire murderous extrajudicial fiasco was caused by a failed Jedi mind trick the Military establishment use to direct the President’s actions.
If the threshold for extrajudicial assassination by drone strike is the loss of American life, then when is Trump declaring war on the pharmaceutical industry who pimp opioids, the fast food junkies who clog arteries & the polluters warming the planet?
The Trump Impeachment is a sad and torturous affair made more petty by Republican tribalism and Democratic impotence.
The Impeachment hearings have, in the main, delivered to us little that we do not already know. But some of those things which we already know, are interesting – if only due to the blatancy with which they have been communicated herein.
I have no doubt whatsoever that Trump is so craven, so devoid of ethics, so narcissistic in his belief of absolute power that he most certainly did demand dirt on his political opponent before handing over military aid to the Ukraine.
I am equally certain that this entire impeachment will not only fail but could inadvertently cement him a 2020 victory.
I have zero time for a death cult like ISIS, but I can’t help but feel this entire fiasco isn’t anyone else’s fault other than America’s to begin with.
Trump is either remarkably ignorant of the geopolitics here or he is nakedly corrupt and is getting some type of unseen quid pro quo out of Erdoğan.
Or both.
I despise the Orange Fascism that is Donald Trump, while also feeling conflicted about him as a President.
