As predicted by many, Trump has not waited for an investigative team from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to carry out it’s work. This despite an OPCW team having already landed in Damascus to conduct it’s investigation.

BEFORE CRITICISING THOSE who continue to treat Russia as an “evil empire”, I should first explain why I don’t. It’s not only because I know that without the extraordinary sacrifices of the Russian people during the Second World War (twenty million dead!) the United States and British Empire losses would have been much, much higher.

I watched my generation get conned into the bullshit war in Iraq over weapons of mass destruction that never existed, we should resist this latest drum beat for war with Russia. I say that as someone who recognises that Putin is a thug and Russia an authoritarian regime, but conning us into declaring some proxy war based on fake intelligence is not a way forward.
