THE SECOND US PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE demonstrated brilliantly the difference between strategy and tactics. Hillary Clinton’s performance was all about the political needs of the next 30 days. Donald Trump was fighting for his life.
The level of the debate from Trump is “I know you are, you said you are, but what am I”. The Americans Trump is trying to win are just listening for his tone, and his aggressive tone matches their anger and their expectations of how power is wielded.
