If you honestly think punching a handcuffed 13 year old and arresting him for not wearing a bike helmet is appropriate policing – then maybe you are the problem?

I suggest that voting National is less a political choice and is now a gated cultural cult fuelled by resentment and not ideology. 

Last night Simon Bridges acknowledged for the first time that National were actively seeking a new Ally Party to help National take power in 2020.

TDB has been pointing this strategy out for over 3 months.

…the simple truth is that the current political offerings within the NZ political spectrum can not and will not put the NZ economy on the war footing required to adapt fast enough for catastrophic climate change.

Just like Clare Curran’s sad panel with no real mana to change public broadcasting, the new welfare advisory panel has been announced and it’s missing some crucial voices.

The Government needs a far better communications plan, their selling of the budget was woeful, and they need to put together a strategy to ram through public service reform so that they can actually get policy adopted rather than resisted. 

There is a real danger now that this will be a one term Government, if Judith takes power, the plan is to unleash a right wing anger which will be extreme. No one on our side of the political fence has any comprehension of what is building.
