With their leader voting himself life long power, with China looking to build a Naval base in Vanuatu, and with their military build up in the South Pacific isn’t it time to revisit that whole Chinese spy inside the National Party thing again?
Bill English: no problem with Jian Yang’s involvement with Chinese spies
On Tuesday, National Party leader Bill English remained cagey on the subject of Yang and his background.English refused to say whether Yang’s background and involvement with the Chinese intelligence apparatus had led to his removal from the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Select Committee.
“I can’t comment on that because I can’t say for sure,” English told RNZ.
He also refused to say what responsibilities Yang would have under the new National Opposition, adding that the party was currently in the process of appointing spokespeople for different issues.
The Opposition Leader also refused to be drawn on whether the SIS had investigated Yang, only saying he did not comment on operational matters of the SIS.
…ummmm, that Bill English has no problems with Jian Yang despite the overwhelming evidence that Yang deceived officials, was the focus of the SIS and was outed as a spy doesn’t make me feel les concerned.
This is the same Bill English who claimed he saw no reason to investigate the NZDF for war crimes despite their recent admission they lied.
This is the same Bill English who knew nothing about Middlemoore becoming an open sewer.
This is the same Bill English who didn’t have much to do with the Todd Barclay fiasco despite sending over 450 text messages.
This is the same Bill english who agreed with Steven Joyce that there was an $11.7b budget hole that never existed.
With all the focus on mocking Jacinda for not finding Russian spies, the fact a Chinese spy is still allowed to openly be a member of the National Party Caucus demands far more scrutiny.
Yes Martyn the gnats were quick to jump on the bandwagon and say we need to send someone back to Russian for the UK poisoning incident even if there is no evidence. Yet I heard the coal- man say there is no evidence at least paper trail evidence to prove he was consulted on the Middlemore hospital mess. Bloody hypocrites! the bloody bull shit that is coming out of their mouths.
Many others are being sent home for failing to declare yet they let this man stay why? = trade with china and more money for them and there mates the ones that are suppose to be creating jobs for more NZ ders
It was a member of the Yang family that has a company called ‘Yang Enterprises’ who was involved in rigging the 2002 US election system don’t we all know too eh?

Too many unknowns in relation to Jian Yang.
Doubtful and possible dodgy government job history in China educating spies, not completing his NZ citizenship application fully,with important details omitted relating to his background in China, leading to the questionable point, is his allegiance with China or NZ?
IMO these facts do not make Yang, or anyone else in a similar situation a suitable candidate to be a NZ citizen.
A lot of questions still outstanding needing to be asked of/about Yang and his true purpose for being here. If he is unable to clarify and support his presence here, then he should be deported back to China. Either that, or regarded and treated as a spy and detained as such!
And to be an MP and remain as such with so much suspicion and doubt surrounding him, is mind boggling to say the least!
Last year Yang’s citizenship application was being investigated. Anyone know what has become of this investigation?
I too do not understand how this man can still be in New Zealand let alone be an MP in our parliament. He surely does not represent mainstream New Zealand and there are already more than enough non- kiwi born MPS in our parliament to represent the immigrated New Zealand resident.
I’m still not sure how someone who was at best extremely economical with the truth on their residency and citizenship applications is allowed to remain in the country, let alone stay in parliament.
I guess it just goes to show National is the best party money can buy and that the Chinese Communist Party has bought the whole organisation.
Yes, this matter should be revisited by the government, and so also should Peter Theil’s citizenship.
