He’s complaining that there is finally a credible group who will serve as an advisory panel to our ever expanding mass surveillance state.
Personally I would normally view such a group as a bunch of stooges there to create the pretence of credibility but with the inclusion of heavy weights like David Fisher, Paul Buchanan, Thomas Beagle, Jon Stephenson, Deborah Manning and Nicky Hager, it is incredibly genuine.

What should not happen is a monument to compromise. But it’s a good working group. So long as every one sticks to the plan which is to protect the interests of kiwis I’m sure they’ll do a bang up job.
