Benefit changes being legislated under urgency will mean people on the equivalent of a disability benefit and their carers will lose out on more than $2300 a year by 2028 – a change equivalent to about 5 per cent of the recipient’s income.

Officials have warned the Government the number of children living in poverty will likely increase by 7000 in four years as a result of benefit changes being rushed through Parliament.

One estimate warns that as many as 13,000 extra children will be in poverty by 2028 thanks to the Government’s changes.

On top of this we have The Atlas Network allowing American Dark money to influence our democratic process so that the rush to open up Conservation land for Trans National Mining Interests while giving Dr Pork Shane Jones fast track powers is NOT MODERATE!

NZ needs to get back to drilling and mining, minister Jones says 

Economic resilience and productivity should trump just about every else, says resources minister and self-described climate change “doubting Thomas” Shane Jones. Jones and energy minister Simeon Brown presented their vision of an energy future to a group of energy industry leaders and others at a Feb 15 breakfast meeting in Wellington. It was a vision that would delight some and outrage others.

All the while, the Settler Cracker Nation plot to kill off the Treaty and the Antivaxx Conspiracy Swamp Kingdom demands culture war revenge fantasies are implemented as social policy.

We face a Government thrown together by post Covid bitterness against Labour who are bound together by malice and spite aimed at the people their redneck voters despise.

This. Is. Not. Moderate!

No matter how many times The Democracy Project, National, NZ First, Mike Hosking, ZB Plus, Taxpayer’s Union, The Atlas Network, Settler Cracker Nation, NZ Herald, the Antivaxx Conspiracy Swamp Kingdom, The Platform, Reality Check Radio and Liam Hehir tell you this Government are ‘moderate’, don’t believe them.

This is a hard right, racist, climate denying, beneficiary bashing Government that is singing to all the worst angels of our nature.

We are a worse people for this Government.
