  1. I don’t have time for what I call the Runt of the Litter(aka Simeon Brown).

He comes across as talking about the gangs and NOT to the gangs. Whereas Don Brash is talking to the gangs Brown is just yapping away like a rabid dog.

Interesting to note Brown is having a go at the gangs that comprises mostly of low income Maori. His lack of condemnation of say the Asiatic gangs especially ones that are probably in his very electorate shows how selective he is.

And has he had a go at the Roast Busters(if they still exist) or are they out of bounds because of their links to Max Key????!!!

All this attention Brown is getting must be surely massaging his ego? He obviously loves the media attention on him. It’s like a drug addiction to him.

So please media don’t give this no-hoper any further attention. He just isn’t worth it.

  2. Move on National party. The same old crap, just a new face. National are very slow learners, this is politics 1990’s style a big failure in current times. Race baiting and Maori/Gang bashing, get tough on crime is/was a winner with the old white boomers but there’s not enough of them now and new generations don’t want anything to do with it. Move on National or you will never get past 30%. The angry old white men are still around but dwindling in number slowly but surely. National need good modern policies but stuck in the boomer heydays.

  3. Agree with all of the above the problem is instead of National looking to change, learn the lessons and move on they now have a plethora of very judgemental Christians in their ranks.

    1. Thank-you Ross for the link and the strong message it contains; powerful stuff that we all need to consider.
If we don’t get everyone represented in parliament how can we claim to be a democracy.

  4. “…Let me start out by saying no politician should have to put up with threats or harassment.”

You try telling that to a beneficiary and a cannabis user bomber.
You know, the ones who put up with threats and harrasment on a daily basis from the politician’s hence men in the form of msd and the police.

  5. Thanks John. I have always believed that we must go forward together, we can’t afford to have large groups marginalised outside society (with all its warts). Gangs scare me, but we need them to become part of society – a huge challenge by any measure. All journeys start with the first step; I can only admire Ross M for his efforts in this direction. Is our society and democracy strong enough to deal with this challenge?
