  1. Too late now, you reap what you sow. Cry if you want, it won’t change a thing.

  2. So given a choice between remaining in opposition and doing some sort of 3 way deal however unpalatable which option do you think they will choose? Obviously this tactic is meant to keep voters from voting NZF but if NACT get 49% then the circus will be well and truly in town!

  3. There is supposedly a Populist faction inside the A.C.T. Party. Who are its leaders?

Does this situation mean Winston could end up going with Labour again, even though he said he wouldn’t?

    1. Well no female leader this time, so who knows, Winston got really ticked off when the PM got pregnant–and it was none of his bloody business! And he tried to knife her on the way out in the lead up to the 2020 election with a letter drafted for the Governor General, so he may not be too popular with Labour either.

NZF are an appalling lot, though Matt King’s Democracy NZ might siphon off the worst of them now. NZF did do us the service of the Provincial Growth Fund–PGF which is what Governments should be doing all the time anyway if they were not neo liberal.

      1. Just looking at a leaflet for Democracy NZ. Who is his dentist? His teeth don’t seem the extra white I expect from the great humdingers entering politics. Ewe! Not good enough! Now where else do I look for election fodder for me in my woolly coat?

    2. Winston said he wouldn’t work with people who had lied to him? Has Hipkins lied to him? Lots of wriggle room. Winston chooses his words carefully and when power and baubles are on the table he’ll do what’s best for Winston (and the country).

  4. I see that Seymour had flipped a bit this morning and said he won’t rule out working with Peters. Doesn’t really want him in cabinet but hey if needs be???.
    Slippery prick.

  5. Once the votes are counted. I am sure David and Winston will be happy to talk.

They both disagree with the Left more than they disagree each other.

  6. Based on your comments Roy Batty you’re the one that is green, green with envy or are you a bit batty.
Like Nicola no class ‘how big is your hole’, comment and then saying she’s had four kids and expresses but her party did not support the maternity leave bill claiming it would hurt businesses as would wage increases.

    1. Yes I think Nicola might have made an unintentional lewd remark on that occasion. It can’t have been intended. Going on to say you have delivered four children such a question could backfire spectacularly. Think about it.

  7. I agree Labour /Green are 90 percent the same and are both equally as bad for NZ if they get power again.
Labour when run by Clark and her team were good until they became too controlling so it is not Labour at fault but these politicians that call themselves Labour like . Martyn has said this many times and I would agree .

  8. After the worst government of my lifetime, the coming backlash was obvious. NACT is going to happen whether you like it or not. “Let’s do this!” Oh wait. Erm, how about “Buckle up!”?

    1. You haven’t been round long if you think this lot is bad. I can hark back to Muldoon when even without social media we knew the country was fucked and then it was followed by Act in drag followed by the mother of all budgets.

      1. I remember Muldoon. His “Think Big” projects automatically make him better than this Labour government that achieved literally nothing of value.

        1. All of his Think Big projects are desperately needed now. Electrification of the rail network, energy independence via C.T.L./G.T.L. synthetic gasoline, expanded domestic oil refining, additional electricity generation, increased steel/aluminium production, domestic fertiliser production, support for other import substitution etc.

His mistake was using excessive government borrowing to fund it all. He should have sought direct private investment until the state had more funds.

  9. And how many voters have you and your fellow hoplophobes pushed into the arms of ACT? Own it, you did this!

  10. Pete Townshend, Rodger, what a violent,,he punched me, Rodger, is a violent man. Rodger, Pete, why did you throw your guitar at me.
