Sectarian Ferris attempts to destroy Tamihere and end te Pati Māori having involvement in replacing this racist Government
…Sectarian Doc Ferris, he who has transitioned from ‘Māori First’ to ‘Māori Only’ has gone one step too far and put up a petition against Māori Party President John Tamihere which prompted the most extraordinary response from JT on his Facebook page that FINALLY explained what the bloody hell has been going on inside te Pati Māori…
…so all along this has actually been a leadership coup by Ferris and Kapa-Kingi.
FINALLY, this all makes sense.
It didn’ make sense that Doc went sectarian with his anti-immigrant rhetoric, it don’t make sense that Eru attacked the leadership, it didn’t make sense Mariameno suddenly lost her whip position and it didn’t make sense that the te Pati Māori Leadership returned such intense fire with their late night email.
NOW we know why, according to John’s timeline, all of this was an attempt by Ferris and the Kapa-Kingi’s to topple Debbie and Rawiri as leaders!
In light of this plus the over spending scandal plus the threats of violence against Parliamentary Staff, the attacks on the leadership by Eru, Doc and Mariameno look as hollow as they are cheap.
Eru, Doc and Mariameno have put their egos before the waka and weaponised Tikanga into pure temple politics.
When the Uber Woke faction inside the Greens launched their attempted coup and gerrymandered voting to advance the identity politics clique of Elizabeth Kerekere they did so because they argued Marama wasn’t woke enough!
NOT WOKE ENOUGH!
The danger with pure temple acolytes is that the glow in their eyes once they taste power becomes unquenchable.
The same cultural dynamic has taken hold of the Māori Party. The Kapa-Kingi and Doc clique mistook the success of the protests against ACTs terrible Treaty Principles Referendum as their success rather than a collective success.
That power went to their heads and they have weaponized Tikanga to insinuate that Debbie and Rawiri aren’t Tikanga enough, hence they need to take over the Party.
I have been fortunate enough as a Pakeha to be around many Māori groups and I have witnessed first hand the power and beauty of Tikanga as an amazing bond of solidarity that can lift an organisation to do incredible things, but I’ve also seen Tikanga used by those who weaponise it as a means of control over discourse and direction the way Woke Identitarians have used intersectionalism to take control of an organisation rather than build it.
Pure temple politics is the kiss of death to politics in NZ and now we know Doc and Kapa-Kingi were attempting a leadership challenge, it helps explain what has actual;ly been going on behind the scenes of te Pati Māori.
The reset by the leadership was important because for the first time te Pati Māori were saying they were going to move beyond being a group of activists and were serious about being a stable partner in getting rid of this terrible, terrible Government.
What Doc, Eru and Mariameno have achieved by putting their ambitions before the Party is hand political ammunition to David Seymour, Don Brash, Sean Plunkett, Mike Hosking, ACT, NZF and National.
John Tamihere has many sins, but it has been his leadership that has built te Pati Māori into what it is and it was only his executive skills that could see them turn from a Party of activists into a stable component of any Government that could replace this terrible Government.
The issues of overspending and abusing Parliamentary staff raised against the Kapa-Kingi’s are legitimate and this would never have happened if Eru hadn’t toxically attacked the leadership and if Doc’s weird ‘Māori only’ sectarianism hadn’t emerged.
That they are combining to sack the Leadership is utter madness and toxic egos out of control.
Māori voters who gave te Pati Māori their trust and vote should be incandescent with rage at this type of behaviour by Doc, Eru and Mariameno.
If they are not forced to back down and shelve their ambitions, Labour will have no choice but to rule the Māori Party out which hands the election to the NZ First, unless voters in the Māori electorates return the seats back to Labour.
What a needlessly destructive and damaging thing to attempt just for power. Māori Party voters should be very, very, very angry at this faction as the Government laughs all the way to the ballot box.

It’s unconscionable to attack your own party and its kin especially when you are morally and clearly in the wrong. Wake up FKK before you do irreparable damage to Maori and of course to yourselves. Bad bad. And what about Kaipara? She is in with Frerris and Kapa kingi too, with her endorsement of Kapa kingi. So stupid and disloyal to the people who voted for her. Agree with every single word Tamahiri wrote especially the last sentence. This is not the time of a coup. If they don’t leave they need to be expelled. Why did they bother even being part of TPM, they should have gone independent instead they are like snakes in the grass. Greedy egoistic and fucking stupid. Do their electorates support them? If they do they shouldn’t because they really do not care about their electorates, only themselves.
Well on one news their electorate clearly support them and pointed out that their elected person is often seen out in the electorate and people on the street have said that .Rawiwi is not a great leader and needs to stop being a dick head .When asked a question by media answer it and cut the bullshit theatrics of babbeling away in Te Reo .He is coming across as the Maori Luxon and costing votes .If he wont answer the question then Debbie should be allowed to answer as she is co leader after all .
First they destabilised the Greens. Again and again.
Now they are destabilising the Maori Party.
Because they know that without one of these parties NACTFIRST will get back in – just.
Next up – smear campaigns against Labour, and leadership plots/smears against Hipkins.
It’s Dirty Politics 2.0 and “they” are just getting warmed up. Wait until next year!
No way these crazies and their donors are gonna just roll over and give up all their power and $$$ for a token thing like “democracy”.

Unfortunate if Mr. Ferris has been dragged into this nonsense by Kapa-Kingi.
A portion of the TPM party vote come from pakeha like me. My children are maori and being
unhappy with aspects of Labour’s incrementalism TPM got my vote because of their focus
and many of their policies.
There will have to be some kind of resolution that results in a TPM that is committed progressive policy
and has the stability to be a part of any new government.
It does not look like there can be reconciliation, so if political blood is going to be spilled, it should be spilled
quickly
If Labour needs Te Pati Maori to form a government, then the problem lies with Labour, as it always has, and not with TPM.
The internal disputes of TPM are really no business of anyone except TPM members, supporters and voters. I personally don’t fit into any of those categories, and neither do the great majority of those offering public judgement on one or another faction within TPM.
Leave them to sort it out themselves.
If you are a Labour voter, then use your energies to sort out the Labour Party. Plenty of work to be done there.
This looks like nepotisim to me .Just look at the way Debbie was dragged away from the media when trying to answer a question .When you have Dad ,daughter and son in law in top positions naturally they will close ranks .What the fuck was JT doing driving around in a dark car when he was supposed to be on Bombers program with chippie and co .Then he did a runner after spinning shit .Like Winston JT may have lost the plot here .NZ needs to see better from this lot .At the present time they have lost my vote .
