  1. Ludicrously incompetent stuff.

    We need to build renewables, which are coming down in price and up in reliability as design (as well as production) shifts from incompetent America to competent China.

    And in the interim, we should be importing cheap Russian oil and gas to keep our industry going, rather than funding American warmongers.

    Jobs are being lost on a weekly basis and high electricity prices are contributing to those losses. Households faced an average 11.4% increase in electricity prices.

    Pricing is important but the backdrop to the the electricity crisis is the broader issues of what resources are to be used to generate energy and how that energy will be shared/distributed and consumed. Someone on the top pay scale will need to step up pretty soon but don’t expect vested interests to one of them. Seems a monumental task irrespective of govt given the deep hole we’ve dug.
