  1. Martyn, no one comes across well on Q&A whether it’s Swarbrick or Goldsmith. I don’t know why you bother watching it. It’s on Sunday morning for a reason.

  2. He’s to be pitied. His name forms first impressions and has implacably bent his being. Another is Richwhite. The fact that they can cope with those names and keep them is an indication of how strongly they influence their possessors. Now people with the surname of Death I understand tend to alter it slightly to lessen that influence and spell it D’Ath. I can’t see a suitable condensation for the other names, perhaps just revert to Smith and Brown would enable them to realise their humanity more profoundly.

  3. I’m normally in church on Sunday morning but saw Q+A this morning.
Goldsmith said that there was a disagreement between the Crown and Maori over whether sovereignty was ceded in 1840.
I think sovereignty was ceded otherwise how could the British give Maori the same rights as British subjects without exercising sovereignty
Also why would Maori fight in wars alongside the colonisers?

    1. The Crown didn’t care. You are not giving people the same rights if you steal their land regardless of what was agreed.

  4. So the laws around fraud are what I am interested in. Billions of dollars worth that we miss out on in taxes every single year. Aaaaah but many of them are his mates living in Epsom.

  5. Goldstein’s like an 80s version of AI.
No charisma, no brains, no personality and a few wires plugged in the wrong socket.
But all credit to him, he knows that’s what his audience wants.

  6. Poor, um, Paul. His, ah, mouth, um stumbles to, ah, keep up, ah, with his, um, nonsequitor, and ,ah, jumbled messages, from, his, um, right-leaning lobe in, ah, his, er, cerebral, um, matter.
Is he really the best they can come up with as Justice Minister and Minister for Treaty Negotiations?
Spare us if it is – which looks to be highly likely when we see the government’s front, second and third benches.!
This discombobulated rabble have to go. 2026 cannot come soon enough.

  7. Goldsmith has been instructed to promote violence against brown people all the while blocking Treaty payouts because that would mean Willis would look even worse than she is .If they had to pay out a billion where would she get that money from because she has already used the money allocated for tax cuts for land lords and tobacco industry .

  8. And the right calls the Greens looney what does that make Goldsmith, loopy
