  1. It is almost unbelievable having to pay to meet with politicians of all people. It would be excellent if this can be challenged on legal grounds. Over the years I never had to pay to meet with any politician, and all were ok, but these grubby uncivilised bastards charging people to talk to them should be tossed out of politics regardless of whatever party they come from. It looks like corruption to me.

    1. That bit about challenging. I have been wondering if the Labour Party could be taken to Court and charged with misleading labelling over their name as labour seems to be the last people they are concerned about and are succeeding in actually cutting jobs for labour in NZ and bringing them to a status of starvation and death. Misnomer! I think so.

Real money would be too cramping.

Other point – if we had legal constraints on what each party could spend on promoting itself or its ideas, and not excluding semi-uniforms for its promoters ie brown shirts, and promises for media to get inputs according to their need, that would be helpful in containing electioneering down from electioneerie heights.
