  1. A trained medical specialist such as a psychiatrist may be better qualified to be Director of the Suicide Prevention Office, than a school drop out whose mate committed suicide. Many kiwis have dear kith and kin who killed themselves. Mike King, admired by all of New Zealand for his track record and selfless dedication in helping to prevent suicide would also have been a valuable asset to this office. King, in fact, is a person known and widely respected by the young guys who need expert help and support from the community to make their lives worth living, productive, and happy.
