  1. Davidson staging a photo op in front of the Beehive is definitely advertising, but more than likely she was simply trying to virtue signal about herself, but it should not have been done utilising New Zealand Parliamentary buildings.

    Ardern wearing freebie clothes is a bit dodgy and I assume that she records all this in the politicians’ published gifts and perks listings. Accepting gifts from overseas VIP’s and their ilk is one thing, but promoting clothing on the job could be seen as ethically dubious; the royals aren’t allowed to accept and wear free clothes like this and the reasons why are not hard to see.

  2. Chris Bishop may feel bound to defend Davidson promoting chocolate when his own food-challenged father complained to Stuff about not being able to get a sausage roll from a petrol station. Davidson should chuck some chocolate John B’s way, cheer him up, poor man.
