A cruel twist of fate catapults small time crook Mickey Skinner into the big league, as head of a brutal London gang poised on the brink of a lucrative human- …
Don’t know what follows the ‘human’ but watch this space for the next sickening episode.
The master said, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes, and bring in hither the crippled, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind – and I’ll tear them apart in accordance with my neoliberal austerity directives, whilst growing bulbous upon the stipends from my two part time gigs.
“I am a top feeder”.
“Yet from those flames no light, but rather darkness visible”
Who said that? Very apt words – I’d like to know more.
Seventeenth century poet John Milton in Paradise Lost. It’s part of his depiction of Hell.
I resent any suggestion that the books are on fire

I have a degree in cooking from durban university and have had on the job training at many Auckland hospitals .
One man shouldn’t carry the can for successive governments’ health cock-ups.
No he shouldn’t but he shouldn’t cook the books to make it look like it was the fault of the previous government because his employer( this government) instructed him too.
Now he has been caught out will his employer do the honorable thing and sack him for attempted fraud? No because they are the accomplice.
I think he’s an immigrant. Who’s to say he cooked the books, or that this isn’t more of the immigrant exploitation which this country is so adept at ? Do honourable men still run on their swords ? In Japan maybe, or Sth Korea, but honour may be a concept with which New Zealand politicians are ill-acquainted.
one man should not have been such a smug prick and taken the job .But his ego took over and this will be the last job he has in NZ .
Yes, not fair that some overseas jerk should overlay all the other Kiwi egos and put them in the shade. We need bigger egos – stop cringing and start practising in your own country. I think the Maori in recent image with tongues and chests out show a good stance. They aren’t feeble-minded, like most of our pollies, taking kickbacks for allowing the oleaginous to steal our assets. They have the nous, might take the odd kickback, but then find a way to nullify the encircling, choking limitations and controls. ‘When the going gets tough, the tough get going’ and don’t need shoulder pads.
