To even examine the issue from that perspective is Russell John Tully and Neil Roberts level cultural offensiveness that demands total James K Baxter level censorship.
Tom Philips is just another fractured Man in an Empire of broken Fathers.
When the Police finally corner him, they will shoot him dead because just like Tully and Roberts, he must be erased.

Well had they asked I would have told them that 3 years ago .This is the result of the failure of the family court to recognise that kids need a dad in their lives .The mum abandoned them ,turns up 3 years later and expects to be given custody with out question .
Then the court says yep full ya boots love lets fuck this guy over .
NOT ALL MEN ARE ARSEHOLES .Some are and there are also a lot of mums that fall into that description as well .
From whats going on in my own whanau I can see the same mistake being made time and time again .The lawyer for child in all 3 cases is not listening to the kids .One has set out with the mothers lawyer to completly undermine the dad because he drinks .Yet the mum drinks ,smokes weed and meth in front of the kids and makes them watch while she has sex with her dealer .The family court sees her as a better parent for the kids even after womens refuge rang the father to rescue one of the kids because she was going to stab him .

That’s the first time I read that reported.
The only previous insight to the family dynamic from msm was the flakey names the kids had been burdened with.

Me too .Tom should be offered a safe passage out and at least 50/50 care of his kids .Clearly he is capable of looking after them and they are in fact being home schooled in the skills of daily living .Many home schooled kids are getting the same non main stream education which the ministry says is ok .
Tom will no doubt have to answer some questions around the unproven crime that has been blamed on him which local knowledge is saying he did not commit .Going on some police cock ups being high lighted recently I would not be suprised if the locals were correct .Lazy policing has been a feature in a lot of policing in NZ resulting in people doing time for crimes not commited and the real perp continuing on their crime way .

There need to be more blind Freddy’s in police, because blind Freddy would be able to see this. Would it have been a different story, if the EPOA fraudster had been a gang mum instead of a public servant? Does no one in NZ have authority to scrutinize the actions of EPOA’s, or do they become asset lolly scrambles? If public servants are supposed to set the example, shouldn’t there be greater police scrutiny when they transgress, instead of less? It’s a question of fairness apart from anything else. If you let off public servants, then police don’t have the moral authority to even issue a parking ticket.
