Phones catching fire bigger news than Homelessness Report

Last week an All Black having a sex romp in a toilet eclipsed one of our MPs being kidnapped in international waters by an Apartheid Israel and it eclipsed the fact that SERCO had lied and covered up reports of violence in their private prison complex.

This week we had an unprecedented Opposition inquiry into homelessness get eclipsed by a bloody cell phone recall.

Remember when John Key said there was no housing crisis? Well the Opposition found otherwise, but you wouldn’t have really noticed that much between the Real Housewives of Auckland stories and cell phone product recall.

That this shite gains more attention than the poorest amongst us being made homeless by counter productive and spiteful social policy says much about what kind of country we have become.

For those in the ‘news’ industry who claim ‘don’t hate the player hate the game’ when it comes to their constant diet of clickbait tactics I say this.

If all you care about is click visits then stop pretending to be news outlets and just become Porn sites. Porn amounts for the vast majority of content on the internet, Pornhub gets millions and millions of visits per day, if clicks are all you are using to judge your performance, than just go full monty and become a digital pimp.
