  1. Very true. Also, “If we were serious about cracking down on Meth…” we would have enough affordable, livable healthy homes, fewer landlords, a functioning mental health system, wages that meant you could feed your family and pay your bills, better access to dental care etc etc

  2. Another factor is kiwis really seem to love their meth if water monitoring is correct-from Polky to tradies to alienated youth-“forget about the last hit, get yourself another!”. Why not just legalise drugs?

    1. I’ve been thinking about that for years. I think it would indicate to National supporters that they aren’t supporting such a clever squeaky clean lot. It would also divert the flow of profits somewhat and some of their donors , friends wouldn’t like that.

  3. Gang patch ban has had a positive effect on the social harm it causes specifically to Maori communities that I’ve been witnessing so all isn’t that bad on that particular policy IMO

Its imported so even a dumb arse would know it has to come across the border some where .We have 200k people unemployed so why are we not paying them a decent wage and training and using them to work in ports and other entry points checking every container package and envelope .Invest in more coastal patrol vessels and surveylence aircraft to work the shit out of the 12 mile economic zone .Too late to do much once it is landed .We can sit around moaning or stop the shit getting in .
