Official report into Meka incident – micro-aggression policing at its most woke
Ex Green Party staff who are now inside Jacinda’s office whipped the altercation between Meka and an incompetent staff member into an orgy of violence using the current ‘accusation-is-evidence’ new cultural landscape.
The official report has been released and it shows a staff member who changed stories, that no one witnessed the supposed violence and concluded the Minister did not drag the staff member out as had been claimed.
It has however concluded that the Minister approached the staff member from behind, grabbed her by the arm and asked to speak with her outside.
Meka vehemently denies she touched her staff member, there is no witness of them touching.
The staff member changed her story from pinched to grabbed.
While bullying is never acceptable and physical contact must always be consensual, this hyper policing of micro aggressions could have tripped the Government into a needless by-election in Ikaroa-Rāwhiti.
This was self-inflicted wokedom.
Meka must grow up, dump the chip on her shoulder about how incompetent staff are a reflection of disdain against Māori women in power and get back to the excellent work for her constituents that she is known for. The Prime Minister also must ponder how woke activists in her own office could inadvertently paint her into a corner she can’t get out of.

We also have struck similar problems with other “incompetent staff” with Phil twyfords Stuart Nash, (and while her office) staff issues existed when Clare Curran was running it.

Labour need to do some serious house cleaning as old National cling-ons aren still in labour’s offices in Parliament and are impeding the progress of the policies of the current Government deliberately it appears.

Anyone who was a “blue” staffer quit the Ministerial offices and went with the Nats into their offices.
The problems have been in the coalition party’s back offices. Start with the COS’ and work your way down.

You touch someone in anger….you’re toast. It’s a reflection of your nature, and that never changes.
You grab them from a position where they can react to protect themselves hard enough to bruise….you’ve just assaulted them. It’s a reflection of the depth of your violent nature, and that never changes.
You do all of the above from a position of the biggest example of power imbalance (Minister versus young staffer)…you display an arrogance bar none.

And forget all the “whataboutism” re Brownlee, Mallard et al. Remember that most – most – of those examples had consequences such as charges laid or exiting Parliament.
