  1. Yes, we dropped the ball when the ECA was enacted…Douglas (FOL/CTU) should have called a general strike to show a bit of unity & resolve, instead they rolled over & it’s been down hill ever since.
There is a whole generation of people who have no idea how the union movement worked & its social justice on society.
There was a time when economic decisions involved the tripartite group (Gov/Emp/Unions) that involved all the sections of society, nowadays unions are not even mentioned in the day to day news.

  2. As capitalism demands profits before any consideration of people, employers, customers, and suppliers and support anti-labour legislation, a radical reaction is required in the current environment. There are professionals who work in co-operative type organisation where the skills and qualification are much more significant than their capital requirements. Instead of using the labour union route to fair remuneration is it possible they could form a business structure that supplied qualified nurses contracted by their own business set up. The nurses would be the owners of their own business and set their rates and requirements. The business expenses such as safe transport to and from work would be a tax deduction. 4. They’re not just antiworker – they’re mad.

For all their talk about economics, they cannot manage their crazed hatred for our people well enough not to trash what remains of our economy.

They need to be forced out of power – destroying our economy is a manifest demonstration of unfitness to govern, if not outright treason.

    1. With two 40 year old virgins running the ACT Party it is little wonder that they are mad, but on top of that, have no worldly knowledge or practical skills.

They are the worst sort of people you want to have in power.

  5. Fordism – workers paid enough to consume the economies products.

Keynesism – Government purchases at a level to underwrite demand.

Willisism – “clearly, the government is just a household”
