  1. Winston doesn’t even oppose globalist trade policies in his programme, but already the Dominion Post is attacking anyone supporting a return to Hamiltonian mercantilism — by simply lumping them together with disreputable legal charlatans and quack-salvers.

  2. Possibly the best that can be hoped for by Labour and the Greens is that the myriad of right-wing nut job parties is going to suck up enough of the ‘anti’ vote, that it will weaken support for the nats. I’m not sure about that. But one thing is certain, there will be an enormous number of wasted votes that will go to the New Conservatives, Loyal, Freedoms NZ, Leighton Baker, Democracy NZ, and New Zeal (Alfred Ngaro) and now NZ First which will possibly get enough of the vote to get back in, but who cannot work with anybody.

  3. Peters is the master at this. Remember when his party was most successful. Won all five Maori seats and the rest of his vote came from conservative old white people.
