Notorious Youth Prison protest another symptom of austerity
A roof-top protest from youths locked up in a youth justice facility is over.
The last remaining youth came down from the roof shortly before noon, and after Prime Minister Christopher Luxon had earlier pulled no punches, saying authorities will not cave to their demands.
But the protest didn’t end before damage was done to a section of the unit’s roof.
The last time this happened, it was a protest driven by the kids towards the Staff who were forcing them into fight clubs that they filmed…

So the under paid, under funded Staff who are given a mere 2 weeks training are corrupt, beat children up, arrange fight clubs and then silence anyone complaining.
But we are going to blame the kids in a kids prison for protesting?

Riots in prisons are always a signal of a baaad prison not doing its job for, in youth prisons in this instance, rehabilitation. Yeah. It’s real fun and comfortable on a roof. Give me my KFC
