Now you will remember the character assassination run on the Māori Party, Waipareira Trust and Manurewa Marae, it was a sordid tale of corruption and thieving Māori stealing the democratic process.
You will remember these claims came from a Destiny Church splinter cell who the Waipareira Trust had foolishly trusted to run some of their out reach campaigns, this Destiny Church splinter cell went rogue with allegations of corruption after they were unable to get a foot hold inside the Manurewa Marae.
In light of the horror these Destiny Church Christofascists perpetrated last week, why the fuck they are seen as the font of all truth and wisdom is beyond me and I remember heavily criticising Andrea Vance at the time for trusting what they said.
I argued that this was all a political hit job on the Māori Party and Luxon bringing in all the agencies to review what happened was a stunt that would find nothing.

…and now the latest report trying to justify all this over reaction to Destiny Church smears has dropped and it turns out as I predicted that it would be the Government Agencies who fucked up!
Stats NZ boss to step down after Manurewa Marae election inquiry
The inquiry into steps government agencies took to ensure personal Census and Covid vaccination data collected at Manurewa Marae could not be misused has found the agencies failed to put appropriate safeguards in place, and fell short of their responsibility to protect and manage the sharing of personal information.
Government statistician and Stats NZ chief executive Mark Sowden would also stand down next month, the Public Service Commissioner announced on Tuesday.
These agencies were desperately seeking out the Waipareira Trust to help connect them with alienated Māori who refuse to work with State Agencies, it was THEIR lack of oversight on their hurriedly thrown together contracts that was the problem, not thieving stealing Māori tricking the system after all!
Where are the apologies?
Where are the admissions you all bought a Destiny Church smear and believed it because you want to see Māori as cheating thieves?

Hosking tried and failed to smear Tamahere, Luxon has fallen into the same trap. The fact that he did this at the behest of the most fraudulent, thieving and corrupt group in the way of the Destiny gang( I say gang because they are thugs and no church) truly shows a very weak PM.

My understanding was the brief of this inquiry did not include investigations in to Tamihere. This will be covered by the Police inquiry still under way.
You are right about what was the aim of the enquiry. The fact the information was mot secure will be used in the enquiry about if it was used to aid any party .
There is more to this sorry affair and it shows how Labour allowed it to happen because they did not see the threat from the TPM

The inquiry was instigated by TPM, they asked the police to investigate, they have nothing to hide unlike the whistleblower who was a redneck.
The report this week only covers the behaviour of Stats NZ. This took the scalp of the head of that organization.
In additional there are two ongoing *Police* investigations into the Waipareira Trust, Tamahere and the funding of TMP. If the cops are involved, you know it’s criminality they’re looking at.

If there is nothing to see here then the chief statistician is quitting for no reason. There must be more to this story, probably misuse of personal data, privacy breach or unauthorized disclosure. I had a WINZ meeting the other day and some angry institutionalized old battleaxe School C failure told me that government agencies do not share information with each other (she was insisting MSD doesn’t share information with the Ministry of Education. They do). Those who willingly choose to mislead and disregard information rules don’t belong in the space.
No the reason the chief statistician has resigned was because client information was leaked under his watch. Unlike Michelle Boag he has integrity.
This points to being deliberately singled out, a witch hunt of a targeted group because it assists a besmirching campaign against Māori.
Most people don’t know what happens to their own personal information or its security when engaging with an agency be it their health provider or an NGO and or Charities agent when it receives partial Government funding.
In the Social care sector for example, if government funding has been given , such as counselling, be it MSD or ACC etc, a lengthy, arduous, wide ranging across all information and policy sectors is microscopically scrutinised in a compulsory audit.
What people/ client don’t know is that even their personal data and engagement records have to be ‘ mined ‘ by an independent paid commercial Auditor for and on behalf of the Government department.
Usually, the Auditor, requests access to ” X ” number of personal files of clients to track and trace that client/s engagement notes and expenditure to the inth degree.
These Auditors, lay people, then have access to the most sensitive of data !!!!!
