  1. I think your map deliberately distorts history. After the wars of 1947/48, Egypt occupied the Gaza strip and Jordan occupied the West Bank. Neither of those two countries made any attempt to transfer this land to Palestinian authorities. In fact Jordan annexed the West Bank (an act recognised only by Pakistan and the UK). True, Israel invaded both those areas in 1967 but before then it was Egypt and Jordan occupied with little support for the Palestinians.

    1. The map Stefan Fairweather refers to relates more to the United Nations General Assembly Partition Plan resolution adopted in 1947. The article, on the other hand, concerns the suffering inflicted by Israel upon a defenceless Palestinian population and the lack of news media coverage. Did Fairweather watch the video of over a dozen Israeli soldiers bravely dealing with the threat posed by a terrorised 8-year-old boy? Perhaps he went online to see what other acts of Zionist cruelty have been filmed. No comment regarding the barbaric episodes of settler sewage flooding Palestinian land or the destruction of Palestinian homes, olive trees, schools and businesses? The article also shows how mainstream news media divert attention from Israeli assaults on Gaza until they succeed in provoking retaliatory missile fire. Does that not merit comment?
