  1. The heat on trans issues does seem to be cooling a bit which is good, I did not like it one little bit seeing my staunch lesbian allies of many years being denigrated by trans activists–the new women with cocks and balls–trans women to be accurate.

Like Bomber though I do support trans people being able to go about their daily lives without being actively discriminated against in terms of employment, government interaction and personal safety.

The history of NZ shows that spousal rape was not criminalised until 1985, “poofter bashing” was a common sport until well after Homosexual Law Reform was won by various campaigns and Gay Marriage finally legislated for.

Progress is achieved by unity in action, and trans people should realise support is a reciprocal process.

  2. Its all been a bit Orwellian.

Trans-nephew is happier, that’s been great. Trans-nephew has not changed sex, cannot change sex.

Accepting trans-people cant depend on denying reality.

  3. Puberty blockers have been effectively banned in a number of European countries, since a lot of kids questioning their gender turned out to be a typical phase of puberty as opposed to them actually being trans. These drugs of course are extremely harmful and can cause sterility – hardly ideal to prescribe them to a confused kid (who are also easily manipulated by their teachers and/or parents).

  4. As the sibling of a trans person, I promise you coming out as trans in teenage years in most cases not a ‘phase”…
What’s more harmful for a teen? Taking puberty blockers when they thought they were trans and then stop taking them later, or a trans teen being denied puberty blockers and their untreated gender dysphoria causes them to harm themselves

    1. I agree this is much too personal to be pulled to bits on a platform like this. Leave it to the people and their medical practitioners not the sordid political leaders who use it for their own trans phobic gains and the horrible Posy Parker’s of this world.
