30 Years of Iran Lies — And Now We’re Paying | My Final Word

This week, Martyn calls out decades of warnings about Iran’s nuclear programme — and the dangerous consequences of believing them.
For over 30 years, Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly claimed Iran was just years — or even months — away from building a nuclear weapon.
From speeches in the 1990s to the infamous UN “red line” moment, the message has remained the same: imminent threat.
But now, with tensions rising and conflict escalating, the question is no longer just whether those claims were wrong — but what happens when the world acts on them.
War games, intelligence warnings, and the lessons of past conflicts all point in the same direction:
regional war, economic shock, and global instability.
So the real question becomes:
Are we walking into a disaster that was decades in the making?

100 per cent agree that if the Iranian nuke bomb program turns out to be another WMD made up crap it should be called out. The evidence seems to be mixed on a trawl through the net. What is clear though is Iran has funded the Houthis, Hezbollah and Hamas. For decades it has brought horrors to people of Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iraq. It has murdered and oppressed its own people. It has called for the destruction of Israel and militarily attacked Israel. Just saying they are hardly paragons of virtue who we should shed a tear for. I would prefer we all got back to Ukraine and climate change! Particularly climate change!
