A contestant on controversial reality TV series Fboy Island is being edited out of the show after it was revealed he was charged last year with suffocating a drunk and vulnerable teenager in his home.
…note that their response isn’t, ‘we should never have commissioned a show called Fuck Boy Island because we are the public broadcaster’, oh no, they are still going ahead with Fuck Boy Island, they’ll just edit out the one accused of strangling a drunk woman.
TVNZ are a ratings chasing addict who have utterly shat upon their Public Broadcaster responsibilities here, THIS is why we need a RNZ/TVNZ merger!

I don’t usually watch TV trash shows. Is there really a programme called this? Kim hill would probably decline to be involved (impolitely and forcefully).
It’s a reason to defund public media full stop.

I mean of late and for some reason I cannot fathom out any logic let alone intelligent thought put into it but TV and even other media outlets are now scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to programs on the telly.
It is as if TVNZ, TV3, the tabloid NZ herald, and the radio stations have become stupidly ‘obsessed’ with what can only be termed as Cheap and Rubbishy ‘reality shows’ that do not require too much intellectual thinking.
If it isn’t Dancing with the Stars it’s Celebrity Treasure Island. And if it’s not that trashy show then it’s some other ‘game show’. And now to prove how much even TVNZ has demeaned itself to perhaps to keep up with its beloved bosses in the NZ National Party it has yet another stupid show called F Boy Island.
Goodness one does wonder as to what TVNZ will come up with next to Dumb Down the Senses of the viewing public.
There was once a time I thought there was intelligent programs on the telly but what there is now may as well be like getting David Seymour to wave his rear end at people.
