MEDIAWATCH: The Media are the biggest problem in this Parliament protest
In his latest column, Marc Daalder sums up all that is wrong with the mainstream media coverage of the Parliament protest.
Yes, the factions that have been promoting this lunacy are powerful and backed by extremist American Dark money, but this entire fiasco was falling over on Wednesday night, Marc even acknowledges that the largest faction leader had left on Thursday morning.
Yet he covers off the moment Trev threw a tantrum and sent in the cops that radicalised this event as a one sentence throw away!
As police began pushing onto Parliament grounds in an effort to remove tents at around 8:30am, Counterspin agitators called for protesters to form a human barrier against the officers. The official convoy organisers blared in all caps on their Telegram channel “EVERYONE NOW PLEASE WALK AWAY BACK TO THE ROAD”. Instead, the protesters pushed back and the arrests started.
I’m sorry, “As police began pushing onto Parliament grounds in an effort to remove tents at around 8:30am”, you meant to say, when Trev threw a tantrum and put out a 10 hour live streamed recruitment video of Police smacking down a protest that saw a naked woman dragged out by her hair, arresting 120 who are now martyrs to the cause’?
Is that what you meant to write Marc?
Because I’m not sure if you noticed, but that act of stupidity has been incredibly fucking counter productive hasn’t it Marc?
Daalder epitomises the Nietzsche quote, “Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster… for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you”, Marc see’s White Supremacist Nazi’s evertytime he closes his eyes.
He, like all mainstream media, can not see that it was Trevor’s decision to try and force these lunatics off the Lawn that actually empowered and recruited people to this madness!

If there is one thing the protestors want more than anything at this point is a stage. They have that big time in Wellington.
Assuming the protestors would all pack up and piss off when the weather turned to shit was a blunder. The total opposite is in play. If a protestor stands their ground (mud) during a storm they will almost certainly see that is adding weight to their cause. AKA a “victory”.
The media being there filming and interviewing the protestors as if they were celebrities has given their cause oxygen. Another epic blunder. Film it as it occurred at the start was totally understandable and appropriate. What’s unfolded since is not.
The media are the first to tell you they won’t make details public in certain events as they know that only encourages more of the same. Pity they have lost their compass with this event.
At least you call them protesters, so respect for that. Otherwise the media knows which side they are on and their coverage, thus far, has borne this out – nothing favorable is going to fall the way of the people.

We refer to matters of great importance to the people of New Zealand community. We hereby provide the Honourable members with a list of demands that we seek to have addressed by the Honourable members. These issues must be heard and acted upon. The Covid-19 matter has divided our nation and it is now time we the people are afforded
the opportunity to heal.
The list of demands as enunciated below represent the key issues we the people believe will move this towards resolution.
In summary these issues are:
• End all Covid –Vaccine Mandates.
• End all restrictive Traffic light systems and ensure the nation as a whole remains open, allowing trade commerce and travel to be absolutely free.

• Ensure there is fully informed consent required by parents and guardians in relation to any medical procedure/decisions/interventions for children.
• Revoke all Covid-19 related Govt endorsed legislature/acts and laws that erode the peoples sovereign rights and freedoms.
• A moratorium on the deregistration or prosecution of all registered medical practitioners silencing them from expressing their qualified medical opinion in relation to Covid-19 issues.
We invite the Honourable members to consider and adopt as enunciated in this open letter without further delay.

2 Overwhelm ICUs with very sick people
