  1. Our MSM have gone to complete shit, mostly opinion masquerading as news and clickbait…
Protest coverage is a case in point, initially it was oh look someone trolled their Spotify playlist, a real journalist would have asked Police and politicians about what they planned to do when it arrived in Wellington.

They’ve essentially turned into a modern day version ‘The Truth’ .

  2. The media is mainly right wing. Apart from Marcus Lush who questions everyone seeking facts, Tony Roxborough, Danny Watson, Ramon Travers, on radio and Simon Wilson in granny herald, the rest of them are raving right wing Tory anti labour hate Jacinda mouth pieces. They have been rooting for the Natz and act from the John Key days and have been big failures. Since the start of covid they havent been right on one issue – Jacinda 100 media 0. They are still in mourning for Key and are starting to salivate over the hopeless Luxon who is out of his depth. The problem is that Natz Dirty politics is influencing senior journalists who instruct junior reporters. When are we going to have a raving left winger on the radio to listen to.
The media is at the bottom of the respect ladder, below politicians, etc. Most of the talk back hosts are on the bottom rung and the callers to the their show are below the ground.

I hope the new funding is used to bring new younger diversified skilled journalists instead of the grumpy old dinosaurs they have now. They need to be able to report on facts instead of being influenced by right wing/tory managers and editors. The best respected journalists are the ones who dont show an obvious political bias like Amanda and the other women on the breakfast shows. We know who the worst are??

  3. Agree Nikorima and its not just the media who have been wrong on so many accounts so have many economist many predicting housing prices would drop last year. I believe our country will bounce back economically from this pandemic and it will happen faster than many think.
