  1. I dunno Bomber, Kate Hawkesby would give some pretty stiff competition for the title of stupidest political commentator…

  2. Just another stupid ‘new Kiwi’ telling NZ how they much better they will be if they changed everything we do here.

What I can’t work out is, if life is so much nicer in South Africa, China, India, Philippines, Korea, why don’t the whiners get out of here to their chosen utopia, instead of using a compliant NZ media platform to complain from and make life into some version of their former countries, generally full of crime, poverty, corruption, pollution and too many people.

All these poorly thought out changes are driving more functional people out of the country while the entrenched change agents for woke and right wingers, stay. At least those who hate NZ from the UK generally, go back there as they get their pension and health care needs met over there.

Sadly our fucked up government seems to get their lazy policy ideas from media and lobbyists at paid for breakfasts and political events of people building mansions on the back of liquor stores and takeaways and ‘tourist’ ventures.

People used to want to come to NZ to live, but sadly the mass low wage, low skill, highly dependant led immigration, woke fuckery thinking and cancel culture, constant big business rorts and slave labour, low wages and $8 cabbages and thousands of government enquiries about everything that go nowhere, now means that NZ is becoming a basket case that we didn’t use to be 30 years ago.

Now that crims are actually so enabled to ram raid malls and help themselves to jewellery and goods in broad day light the government and police seem more interested in a crime issue that has been brewing for decades, led by meth and a lack of interest in local children, Actually stealing from neighbours and Lake Alice like activity, has been happening for years and falling on deaf ears.

On that note, even the refugees don’t want to be here, along with the migrants, and of course the Kiwis who left too, when they were fucked over.

Has anybody in the Green Party wondered how we are going to give these highly mentally ill suicidal refugees help when suicidal Kiwis can’t access help here and those giving the help are not very successful? NZ works well for woke, crims, and so forth, but truely sick people, not so much.

“In nearly six months, just 36 people have taken up New Zealand’s offer to resettle refugees held in Australian detention camps such as Nauru, with UN’s refugee agency saying the brutality of Australia’s immigration regime is partly to blame.”

100% pure rip-off? New Zealand voted second-worst place to move to

Remember even 10 years ago rents and housing, food, power, insurance, utilities, meth use, were a lot lower than now, but with our intentional society demographic changes into a low wage economy, the constant right wing and woke changes, and the stupid braying every five minutes of more immigration of people who compete with NZ poor and require government services from day 1 in health care, schooling, justice, immigration etc, combined with billionaires who can buy up NZ assets and use us as a tax break and thus need more slaves bought in to toil the fields is part of the problem.

NZ has too many high needs people, too many rich people and seems to struggle to understand what they need to do to attract professional and educated people at quality institutions, who have experience or are experts, in the middle of the spectrum.

    1. /agreed.
      But
“What I can’t work out is, if life is so much nicer in South Africa, China, India, Philippines, Korea, why don’t the whiners get out of here to their chosen utopia, instead of using a compliant NZ media platform to complain from and make life into some version of their former countries, generally full of crime, poverty, corruption, pollution and too many people.”
Really no different from those comfy little specimens from the PMC that buy up a ‘remote’ weekend property in order to get away from it all – half an hour or an hour’s drive in their Teslas or Green friendly Skodas in places like Martinborough, and then proceed to develop develop develop.
If Queenstown’s not the perfect example, I’m not sure what is. For them, it’s enough to turn the most ardent leftie amongst them into a fully functioning gNat

    2. 10 years ago NZ was under the National Party and while not all was as it should have been it was better than now after 5 years of Labour control. I do wonder if officials deliberately try to keep professional educated people out because they are afraid they will show them up.With 44000 nurses resigning from the NHS in the UK we should be fighting them off to come here but where are they.

  3. Labour could spare the country from this but not the way they’ve performed thus far. In fact they are encouraging ACT!

I’m picking for Labour to have any hope, and us, there has to be a clean out of ministers. Little, Wood and Woods need to go, put Willie into housing, put Grant on notice and get Greg O’Connor into police. Justice and Corrections need a top down overhaul as well.

And sadly, she started so well with so much hope and so many fine words but Jacinda’s days are numbered too. She remains PM in name only but someone else who is a doer calling the shots.

Time to cut the bullshit appearance management over reality and fast and produce meaningful substance!

  4. Or…..ACT is National’s stalking horse?

What I’m saying is that there may already be broad consensus between the two on what needs to be done, but National needs to appear soft and middle-of-the-road in order to attract the flaky middle-class voter back. Once in office Luxon just shrugs and says, “Hey ho that’s all part of the reality of MMP” and points to the Greens getting oil & gas exploration banned in the previous government.

You need to think these things through! LOL

  5. I reckon HPDA is actually correct. ACT will get about a quarter of their policies. National will not be a cypher for ACT and simply implement all of ACT policies. National would know that would mean a certain loss at the next election (the following election after getting government).
    So realistically what will ACT actually get? In my view;
    1. Education; a large part of their policy in this area.
    2. Oranga Tamariki.
    3. Corrections, and some justice policy, most probably Three Strikes.
    4. Defence, with a larger budget.
    5. A major economic area, probably MBIE.
ACT will not get a cut in minimum wages, they will not get a one third reduction in state sector employees, they will not get the end of climate change legislation, they won’t get interest back on student loans, they won’t get reductions in Working for Families, they won’t get cuts in welfare payments, they won’t get abolishing Maori seats.
National knows caving into ACT on these things would doom National, and for multiple elections.
I might note Labour will also be thinking this through with their potential coalition partners. They will also know they cannot run government as some sort of hard left extension of The Greens and Te Parti Maori.
Both National and Labour know they can only win election by winning centre voters. So they can’t afford to be held hostage by the respective coalition partners. And neither do they need to. After all, what other option do their coalition partners have? It is not as if they can swing to other side. The only party that can do that is NZF.

  6. People should have a bit of sympathy for poor Heather. The girl’s embrace of the hard right is compensation for not being able to whip kaffirs anymore.

  7. abolishing the Human Rights Commission would be a most retrograde step
Seymour claims Ngapuhi blood but I have yet to see a picture of his mother if she in fact exists –
his biography, like those of most of our politicians, is sketchy to transparently non-existent.
NZ has too many high needs people, as saveNZ points out; this is because for decades, centuries even, the reject remittance class sent here from mother england has been empowered with a type of status they don’t merit. The horrors of Lake Alice, for example, inflicted by an unrepentant Leeks with his Pace E.C.T. machines, justified and unquestioned due to a feigned superiority, acted moral righteousness, are an example of the colonialist mentality , long gone from India or Africa but allowed, through our imperialist brainwashing machine, to flourish here in AO/NZ. We allow the cult-churches to operate sweat shops and money-drives like they’re above the law and we worship anyone with a fucking toff’s accent (like Boris who was actually born in N.Y.)

  8. I cannot be bothered with reading the tabloid NZ herald. It has become the Mouthpiece of the NZ National Party.

Its collection of biased towards National so-called journalists leaves alot to be desired.

HDPA is just one of many so-called journalists that really gives professional journalism a bad name. Others that come to mind are John Roughan, Mike Hosking and of course his idiot wife, Audrey Young(mind you her brother is a National MP and so that probably accounts for her biased towards National articles), Fran O’Sullivan and others whose names I cannot bring to mind right now.
I often think when it comes to Hosking’s rants in the herald that he is too volatile to write articles and perhaps him being the great lover of all things John Key that maybe Key writes the articles and Hosking applies his name to the articles. Because the extent of ‘article topics’ supposedly written by Hosking makes him look like he is the Font of All Knowledge and that was a bad habit of John Key’s whilst prime minister of New Zilland.

A while back in one of the very few articles Hosking supposedly writes was him saying he would leave NZ for Australia. Well now that there are regular flights to Aussie may I ask as to why Hosking hasn’t left this country yet because he has had plenty of opportunities to date to do so. Maybe that particular ‘Trougher’ is onto a good thing and of course his bluster is all attention seeking with no real ‘content’ to carry out his ‘promise’ to leave this country.

And so my posting here is mostly about Hosking but if HDPA is so critical about this government that isn’t perfect but a damn sight better than the previous National government of bygone days then I am certain there is a flight back to whichever country she thinks is much better than NZ and she is free to catch that flight.

Really the articles in the herald are so negative that I only find the best use of the herald in hardcopy is it comes in useful for when I empty the kitty litter.

  9. She’s been well trained by her Husband. Add on Hoskin and Hawkesby and the poor girl must be close to being able to claim psychological torture.
Imagine what its like in her household at breakfast time ” hey baby, got any ideas how we can dick ourselves today?”.
I actually don’t read her column any after she used blatantly false information in one about a year ago. Pointed it out and backed it up with true official data and Herald did not even acknowledge it as you would expect.
I now usually only read Liam Dann and Mary Holm now.
The rest are just right wing puppets.
Even their sports writers are pathologically biased.

  10. OK Martyn, she may be slow to catch on, but aren’t you pleased she’s saying what you have been saying?

Are Act going to cut benefits? Haven’t seen it in their policy.

One thing I will say is Heather DA gave Kris Fafoii the interview he deserved over the conversion practices bill and puberty blockers.

  11. Do you know what the word polarisation means HDPA? Someone help her with using the dictionary.
Polarisation – everybody knows what that is FGS. That’s where the polar ice melts and polar bears are left stuck on a tiny-weeny little island of ice not big enough to lay down on. It’s all to do with the greenies and them getting over-heated. I blame it on….well can’t think of the person responsible at the moment but you know what I mean. Martyn talks a lot of tripe but his hearts in the right plaice, he’s not the feller I’m trying to remember, he hasn’t got a bushy beard like Martyn, sort of pointy face and acts like a sort of medieval jester!

Here’s something about one ancient jester:
Act the fool: Famous court jesters and fools from history
    https://www.history.co.uk › articles › act-the-fool-famo…
Court jester to King Henry II, [12th century England] Roland was best known for one thing and one thing alone: breaking wind. While little is written about Roland, one thing that we …

By the way, Wales has revived the tradition, they have a lot of spunk the Welsh. Perhaps we should look to them for a lead.
Russel Erwood (b. 1981), 2nd official resident jester of Conwy in North Wales replacing the jester of 1295

  12. Mi Cockskin and the rest of the ZB lot are well paid Natzo mouthpieces to state the rather obvious. They are MAGA types that wind up the rage–o–meter while keeping very quiet on the fact that their paymasters have no intention whatsoever of alleviating any of the concerns raised.

HDPA is a particularly gruesome member of this little media filth squad–mid 30s hanging out with a 70 year old tory dodgepot?
