   1. The standard is full of myth and mythology. Right now it’s Paul Campbell and Weka claimed “that by shutting down the smelter and redeploying that electricity to more productive (to the NZ economy) use.”- https://thestandard.org.nz/nrt-on-transitioning-off-fossil-fuels/#comment-1463916

      My comment: It is physically impossible for New Zealand to turn a smelter into a productive hub. New Zealand just dosnt have the tooling and barley has the credit rating for such undertaking. I’d expect people like these two to know better. I’d probably give them a couple of swear words.

      It’s been proven that Lprint, Bill, Weka and the standards entire economic thesis is nothing but a total scam. But they insist it will work. With people like these there isn’t much you can do to convince them that there religion is a false delusion.

      Pity really.

      The comment section gets pretty hot
      I’m always amazed at how much credence is given to corporate media
      We’re bombarded with that stuff, day in ,day out
      I want balance, I can only get it going to alternative media and stacking them up against each other

   4. Sorry, I have a lifetime ban from the Standard for calling “Bill” a conceited dickhead because he was trying to claim the Chinese Communist Party are the rightful rulers of Tibet.

      He also thinks the Israeli army was right to imprison 16 year old Palestinian girl Ahed Tamimi for slapping an Israel soldier who was harassing her family in their own home.

      Nice bloke.
