Highlight of the conference for me was Abby Martin confronting Nancy Pelosi about the hypocrisy of her being a thought leader for climate action while continually voting for obscene Pentagon spending, whose military are the world’s worst polluters. The reply to Martin from Pelosi and another panelist was an incoherent, confused mess designed to deflect heat and show their concern. To top it off they then shut down any further questions on the (apparently) most important discussion of our times because the cleaners wanted to evacuate the hall and mop the floors. At least someone other than Abby was working their that day.
