Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has confirmed he will not attend events at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds on Waitangi Day.

After allowing ACT to trash the Treaty, after allowing NZF to try and remove all Treaty references in legislation and after National’s own racist actions, after all that, Luxon is too much of a coward to face the music at Waitangi!?!

Here’s a thought. The TPB is Luxon’s poisoned chalice. Whether the tragedy plays out as it did for Macbeth, who travels down a dark path of treachery and violence that inevitably leads to his own downfall and death, well, that’s a bit too dramatic. But as much as he will avoid the issue it probably won’t end well for him.
