  1. Not helped by today’s splurge from Helen Clark’s “ Foundation” that fat people are fat, and why, and what should be done about it, as if we didn’t know, and another assumption that the prols are as stupid as they are. Expect to be told that the sun will rise or set tomorrow, and leaves leap onto trees in springtime.

  2. Labour should be higher than that after all that National have done. They will lose again if they don’t get their shit together. Greens equal with Act is crap too.

    1. Lone Comet. Yep. The poll/ methodology could be at fault. With the Nats performing worse than ever anticipated, and Luxon such a horrible joke of a man, Labour should be doing better even by default. The Greens rating higher than NZ First, is bizarre and almost certainly inaccurate.

    2. Maybe people don’t trust them to do anything useful if they get into power again? I have not seen anything from them yet that gives me any confidence that they would be any better than a national lite government. I suspect that we would have a better government than the current circus if National and Labour had cooperated although for political ego reasons I doubt that that could ever happen. Still not a good government though, TMP with Labour and Greens for support might actually achieve a real improvement although there is more chance of pigs flying than that happening.

    3. 100% if the Left don’t pick up the game to be ready to take over in case of a snap election they need to be ready NOW not in 2026 or 2029.

  4. The image displays the situation – Labour doesn’t know which way is up. They can’t do good, and even when they try to be cunning they can’t do good then either. Bit all our politicians are under a defunct system, outdated in the 20th century and unable to run with the new tech-strength mechanicals now on offer.

Return to the past simple local systems, so at least fight out problems with people who can be seen, with possibilities to do quick answers to apparently knotty problems and less expense.
Also most GST except a miniscule 5% (still on4e-third of the 15%) stays in the area where it is initiated. Feed money back to the mercantile system of the area – the multiplier at work!

  5. Labour need to stop being so gutless over capital gains. Treasury will be recommending it as imperative before they grow some balls. If they have any sense they will point out it is not a wealth tax in the sense of taxing the rich just for being rich. It’s about expanding the tax base not envy.
