Labour/Green Unity at Waitangi spoiled by haters and wreckers this year

The power of Unity can overcome.
Why Labour and Green unity at Waitangi mattered
It was an important message that Labour and the Greens put out at Waitangi this year and is in stark contrast to the naked dislike for each other Luxon, Winston and David display anytime they are together…

Their attempt to take insult at being called anti-Treaty and anti-Māori are the faux tears of victimhood from your average white Karen.
Labour and the Greens have to show more than a united front, they have to start pushing for a united policy platform of minimums they will take to the people.
How ego and infighting weaken collective resistance
It was a good start from Labour and the Greens, unfortunately Māori this year were more focused ion ruling each other to pieces rather than fight against this terrible Government collectively.
The Ego some bull on last years successful protests to the repulsive Treaty Principles Referendum has demolished solidarity.
Why Election 2026 demands solidarity, not spectacle
What a sad yet fitting way to celebrate Waitangi Day!

The Greens project as being some sort of utopia party, but the reality of the world is that such a party has no credibility, let alone influence. They are a total joke to 90% of the voters. Any party that advocates for “big government” wants people to become dependent on said government, which then allows the government to control your entire life. It boggles the mind (at least my mind) that people actively WANT to be DEPENDENT on the government.
It boggles my mind and many others that people actually voted for the fuckwits in the current govt
As opposed to being controlled by a handful of billionaires you can’t vote out. If you think it’s a problem that a government provides healthcare and infrastructure you are part of the problem. You suck up all this bullshit about the private sector being better for everyone despite the ample evidence it’s not.
Looks like Luxon grew a ‘mohawk’! That’s the most interesting thing about that lineup of grey men drained of all human vivacity, and flowing juices of human conviviality,* driven by twisted individual convictions (they will only be prevented from victory by culling them from the herd along with their con tactics). |(Example of what a person feeling convivial might be like, do…. Mr. Micawber was uncommonly convivial. I never saw him such good company. He made his face shine with the punch, so that it looked as if it had been varnished all over. He got cheerfully sentimental about the town, and proposed success to it.” [Charles Dickens with David Copperfield.]… Convivial traces back to the Latin word convivium, meaning “banquet,” which in turn comes from the verb vivere, meaning “to live.” The word is in good company, as vivere has breathed plenty of life into the English language; other common descendants include survive, revive, vivid, and vivacious. |https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/convivial
Expect many more attacks by the NZ Herald and Shill talk ZB’s 2 plus 3 Allen, Mike Foreskin, Audrey ( I’m in love with John Key) Young and stone face trickle down effect herself, right wing antagonist Fran O’Sullivan.
When they’re all trying to convince us that the economy is improving then we know we’re fucked.
The Greens need to start focusing on what will ensure better outcomes for their voters. This is not one of them – “Teanau Tuiono has lodged a member’s bill, the Tohorā Oranga Bill, which would give whales inherent rights, including the right to freedom of movement, a healthy environment, and the ability to thrive alongside humanity.” Taken that whales already have freedom of movement (after all, they range worldwide), though a healthy environment may not exist worldwide and the ability to thrive alongside humanity may not exist in those parts of the world that still hunt them, how is Tuiono’s member’s bill going to deal with anything beyond the realm of New Zealand.
Yes I had that feeling too, not sure where the Maori queen sits in all this either but I do see that the Maori world is divided at present and this division gives this awful government the ammunition to push even more racist policies. Remember some Maori will vote right anyway just like workers who will vote for ACT so that gives you a clue
The “Hate Trolls” need to comprehend they are not superior because they are white! FGS grow up! Anyone who gets their “news” from the likes of Facebook, X, ZB is lazy and lacking in basic intelligence. These sites mainly publish opinions – from their dubious sources and Winston’s rabble is almost entirely made up of lots of bitter and twisted voters with nowhere else to go. The average Joe Bloggs just wants equality, a fairer more even pay scale, not one done by percentages which gives the ‘sorted’ so much of the pie and deliberately keeps the workers on tenterhooks and LOW PAY! The Left need to be door-knocking now to ensure all elligible voters are enrolled. They don’t need to sound out all their policies, but remember Left – the ‘sorted’ are not your voters! And Heather DPA, what a desperate attempt to hang the current CoC failings on Labour. Is this really the current environment she wants for her little ones? Again the Left will need funds to fix the current MESS. Lastly the Treaty needs to be put into into law so it can’t be misused or changed in any way. Shame on you Seymour!
Patrize – a little change needed there, about basic intelligence. The type of behaviour exhibited by the people you refer to lacks – enquiry, a desire for understanding; There is little quest for information, background reasons of behaviour, a mental test as to the wisdom and effect of whatever is considered. The news flows over the mind of most people, facts and half-truths and suppositions etc all mixed up in a sort of sediment that floods over people largely from their tech devices. The mind doesn’t sort through, looking for the patterns, the circular style of events, the continual direction away from society’s good, and is mainly reactive,. Drawing analogies here. The result is like off-key music from a piano with works worn; without attention just polished wood in a piano shape, boiinng.
Hi Greywarbler – your two posts were great and informative. I tend to see things in a simple way; you are either a kind, caring “people” person or the opposite! Unfortunately this CoC are all tarred and feathered with the same corrupt, destructive brush.
Labour and the Greens stab Maori in the back
Is that unity?
