  1. If we rewind the tape, Simon was booted out by at least a fair percentage of this rump remaining in the National caucus so I cannot see how that fracture is ever going to be healed. It will still be the same fucked up political party wreck it’s been since at least 2019.

But the thing of it is this, we are currently hugely underwhelmed with the least talented politicians in the history of this nation. Labour prove on a daily basis just how talentless they are and yet the rancid state of the biggest opposition party means useless Labour get to carry on being useless. I mean how else could non performing ministers like Megan Woods or Poto Williams ever get to hold down such positions otherwise, much less receive pay cheques?

NZ is poorer because of a poor opposition.

    1. Most are mere ‘administrators’, not visionary’s and initiators, barring the tinkering. And that’s all we can expect with neo liberals. Their own ideology makes them useless.

  2. But Martyn, isn’t it that those with the mammon have the distinct advantage in this temporal holographic world? That those who see a more,…trans dimensional application of science and physics in regards to quantum physics, ….must always be relegated to the superstitious until proven otherwise?

I think you and other dreamers for a better world are before your/ their time. You are in league with many of the Renaissance thinkers.

    1. Sam. I know. None of them do, but he won’t last. Maybe they should just have a couple of deputies, but X-ray is right about generally lack-lustre politicians, not just N and L.

    1. As part of Hollow Men, Key’s influence will be a continuation of attack politics. So if is in fact between Bridges and Luxton, then it will be business as usual. National need a cleansing until the last remainder of Hollow Men and Dirty Politics is gone.

    2. Of course he wasn’t in it for the money last time – he didn’t need it. He didn’t need the job either, it was just a hobby, NZ was just a plaything, he was doing it for fun. Housing crisis anyone?

So, Key as National Party pres? C’mon, convince us he’s doing that because he’s the knight on the charger going to lead us into the brighter future. He sees.

  3. As a committed Lucerfarian, I can tell you that Satan feels hurt to have been included on this list. He wants absolutely no part of anything to do with NZ politics. He feels his reputation would be tarnished by any connection to it.

  4. The voting public are losers as well. With no solid Opposition the party in power can do their worse with no checks and balances. It is happening now and the results are starting to show .A timid approach to crime and hands of the troublesome state tenants 3 Waters destruction of health boards . The same thing happened when Labour were in disarray and National got away with not paying teachers and nurses and running down the mental health .
If National cannot sort itself out before the 2023 election we will be controlled by Act and Winston as the floating right leaning votes turns from a failed Labour run country.

  5. Dean’s has now come out and acknowledged she was caught in a power play between Collins and Bridges, the first piece of honesty from National in well over a decade.

    1. Its just such a long bow to ask us all to believe it all wasn’t contrived to get rid of Bridges. And, for Collins to go out in a blaze of glory (in her mind).
