  1. People in New Zealand have a thing about cats and tax free capital gains

  2. To be honest people prefer to hear about a cat rather than NZDF. We ask our soldiers to do stuff we don’t want to do, then scream when they go outside the artificial parameters we set. We put them in harms way and then ask them to act with “honour” when they are trying to stay alive. They lie because the consequence of not lying is punishment for crimes committed when their level of fear and adrenaline did not make for good decisions. Their crimes are the result of the failure of this country to not send them into a situation where they are enemy combatants in a hostile land. So the people of NZ don’t want to hear that the people that they weaponized and sent to prop up a brutal corrupt regime did stuff that was not right, because who wants to know you’re complicit in murder?

    1. Totally agree LUCY, although i definitely did not ask them to go to another country and murder the inhabitants.

  3. All i can say is shallow and what do you expect when a billionaire owns our media

  4. Shocking, but what are the government going to do about it!

Probably nothing and let the culture of doctored footage and killing civilian children become the norm…

Too hard to actually govern the organisations, just let them continue in their unaccountable fiefdoms.

Just like the SIS collusion with John Key against Goff to make him look like a fool and a liar over the Israeli passports ..

An expensive report and enquiry that goes no where is my guess of the consequences!

  5. Thats what you get for just following orders from your overseas masters, stop picking on our fukin soldiers, they dont have a choice in where there are sent or what operations they carry out, look to the real war criminals our POLITICIANS

  6. “…where ignorance & malice is celebrated by the rural volk while middle class attention… ” oh for heavens sake.

Do you really think ignorance and malice don’t flourish in suburbia ? They breed in suburbia, and they spread like measles in suburbia, and they dry out the brains of the righteous.

I do think though that many NZ’ers are now far more aware of the Afghanistan issues, partly because so many people know somebody in the NZDF who has been sworn to secrecy about it.

Expecting answers from Key is also unrealistic because Key is truth-challenged, and Bill English is more interested in going to pop concerts, and expecting people to sympathise with the poor privileged little sod for having teenage acne. Some people have tragic lives.

Cat = food. Could feed a couple of families in Stalin’s Russia – and rural volk in today’s China. Some people have tragic lives.

  7. Yes your right Mosa we talk about having moral and principles and being caring yet we turn a blind eye to this , and this is an abuse of power under the brighter future government
