  1. Cannabis so 1980’s, synthetic opinoids so much cheaper ..

Funny enough, the Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption Center tracked down where a colossal amount of the world’s Meth precursor was being made, you guessed it, Drum roll…. Wuhan!!!!

In a state sponsored factory, no less….

“Cartels are increasingly shifting away from drugs that require planting and growing seasons, like heroin and marijuana, in favour of synthetic opioids such as fentanyl, which can be cooked 24/7 throughout the year, are up to 50 times more powerful than heroin and produce a greater profit margin.

Though some clandestine labs that make fentanyl from scratch have popped up sporadically in Mexico, cartels are still very much reliant upon Chinese companies to get the precursor drugs.

Huge amounts of these mail-order components can be traced to a single, state-subsidised company in Wuhan that shut down after the outbreak earlier this year, said Louise Shelley, director of the Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption Center at George Mason University, which monitors Chinese websites selling fentanyl.”

Those that favour synthetics like Meth (so much cheaper than local products, like everything from China), Wuhan is apparently back in business with Covid lifted!

Hooray for international trade and diversity!! Sarcasm.

  2. Meh , I’ll stick to me wine, rum, and port. And cider and stouts , thank you very much – and you call yerself a pirate !

And all of the above make great marinades!

All I know is when I had my stent put in they pumped me full of the maximum adult dose of morphine- and it did jack shit! Didn’t feel a thing ‘cept slightly sleepy. NOW , – a hip flask of Jim Beam would’ve done the trick – I kid you not!

I would’ve been rollicking across the floors and standing on the desks dancing with the nurses!

I also believe a little humour goes a long way in times of crises 🙂
