  1. I’ve just read Noam Chomsky’s latest book, Who Rules the World? In a chapter on Israel and the occupied territories, Chomsky describes Israel’s treatment of Palestinians, as ‘sadism’.

  2. Thanks, Leslie. 🙂

And thanks to Martyn for putting this near the top of the posts. As it’s far, far worse than the nastiest stuff happening in NZ, perhaps it could be placed on the leaderboard.

Also, this next post comes after a shorter interval than usual. It seems things are hotting up as more of us wake up.

“Israel has a right to defend itself (from homemade Hamas rockets)…”

    BULLSHIT. 🙂 🙂 🙂

“Both sides need to show restraint and work (after only nearly half a century) towards a two-state solution…”

    BOLLOCKS. 🙂 🙂 🙂

The chief schoolyard bully and his gang have every right to ‘defend themselves’ from their victims’ protests at being ritually tortured every day and night, while the school staff are lied to about it and look the other way.

I’m grateful to you, Leslie, for continually bringing this to our attention.

Based on much evidence, it is now often asserted that the facts are in on climate change, and any ‘climate denier’ is up for merciless ridicule.

If this is so, the facts are ever so much more ‘in’ on the flagrant abuse by a psychopathic government of the victims of its obscene ritual.

In the past, apologists for Israeli government (no, dear apologists, not all individual Israelis, please just don’t bother with that pathetic derailment attempt 🙂 🙂 🙂 ) have posted on TDB, but perhaps now the tipping point has arrived, and no more such excuses will be tried.

From now, anyone who dares to try to excuse Netanyahu’s behaviour runs the risk of being seen as abetting serious crime.

Boycott, divestment and sanctions is the least we can do – these democratic remonstrances are available to all individuals whether or not the government will act.

And no, not a military invasion. That method was never intended to end terror, but to maintain and increase it.

With few exceptions, which no one not suffering with them is qualified to judge, Palestinians are our modern heroes, somehow responding to the worst a world war 3 would be able to throw at the rest of us.

  3. . The terrorist occupation of Palestinian land and it native people is a disgrace to civilization.

As this continues so does the global spreading of the news about it and the hardening of disquiet about Zionist illegal brutality and Jewish support of this, in Israel, the USA and other Jewish diaspora.

The backlash against Jews is also growing as a result and many feeling this backlash also feel powerless to defend themselves.

It would appear that the Jewish community has more control over this debacle than any other group. The Israeli Govt is voted in by Israelis so is their agent.

Support for Israel flows in from around the world so it is not as though Israel acts in a vacuum. The supporters are also responsible.

It may seem unfair for there to be a backlash against Jewish people but such a backlash pales into insignificance when compared with the terror, systematic murder and oppression imposed in crushing the Palestinian people within the remnants of their own land. The Jewish voice is largely mute in condemning the inhumanity.

The conscience of the Jewish people appears to be unaffected by brutality towards others, exemplified in this inter-generational genocide.

Yet we still hear cries of anti Semitism directed at critics of Israel’s crimes.

States run by religion appear not to have leeway to think of others outside of the fold. Bigotry does not deserve any quarter.

Teaching of narcissistic doctrine supporting or demanding a “chosen” status has an outcome of learning exclusion and eventually hate towards others.

    Hate breeds hate.

The hate between Israel surrounding populations appear to go back a long way.

Israel either has to stop what it is doing or be stopped.

The world cannot stand back and let a powerful wealthy, but numerically tiny group, support and condone this genocide without giving the signal that its Ok and anyone can inhumanly force their will on others without consequences.

Boycott Israel is a start but may need to be spread more widely to the supporters of Israel

  4. Andrew: free Palestine.

Immediate withdrawal of the Israeli regime to the 67 borders and surrender of East Jerusalem.
UN Peacekeepers to occupy Palestine for its defence in the interim while the state is established.
US to pay reparations to the same tune of of th 38 billion gifted to Israel. Their bankers will be cool with this because it will be created ou of thin air and spent on reconstruction.
Palestine to adopt “mirror” laws to that of Israel – ie, treatment of Jews/non-Jews mirrored across the border.

This will hopefully lead to two cohabiting states in the medium term, maybe one secular state in the future

Half of Gaza’s 2 million people are children. This is not a religious or ideological fight for them, it is human right. It is survival. They want only freedom. Israeli fear for the backlash from their actions is no excuse not to free the Palestinians any more than their Zionists aspirations are.
