Merciless blitz on starving Gaza — growing numbers

88 more people killed and 421 wounded
Since dawn, Israeli air strikes, missile launches and gunfire on homes, as well as medical and other facilities, have resulted in 88 dead and 421 wounded, bringing the total number now killed in Gaza, since 7 October 2023, to at least 63,459.The death toll data was completed and approved by the committee responsible for following–up on the file of reports and missing persons. The total wounded is now at least 160,256. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 91 and, that of those injured, is more than 230. Seven Palestinians have died from starvation and malnutrition in Gaza over the past 24 hours, amid a total Israeli blockade on the region, according to medical sources, raising the total number of malnutrition-related deaths to 339, including 124 children. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.
