Gaza‘s growing death, injury and sickness

The total numbers of killed and wounded in Gaza by Israel since 7 October 2023 are: killed 71,851 and wounded 171,626.

Since the start of the Gaza ‘ceasefire’ the Israeli Occupation has killed 592 Palestinians and injured 1,508.

The past 24 hours (as above) have seen 27 more killed and 18 more wounded

Since dawn, Israeli airstrikes, live fire and shelling from tanks, have seen 27 more killed and 18 wounded. The daily average number of men, women and children killed in Gaza is at least 84 and, that of those injured, is more than 201. A UN report states that, as of 14 January 2025, around 70% of those killed in Gaza were women and children.

West Bank

Since 24:00 on 7 October 2023, Israeli Occupation forces have been imposing a complete closure on the West Bank, preventing residents and other permit-holders from entering or leaving. The Israeli military also imposes severe, and highly variable, travel restrictions on all residents.

Nearly 700 Palestinians in nine communities have been displaced due to settler attacks so far in 2026, including 600 displaced from Ras Ein Al Auja Bedouin community in Jericho governorate.

Large-scale operations by Israeli forces have significantly expanded beyond the northern West Bank to include the central and southern governorates, including in Qalandiya refugee camp and Kafr Aqab in Jerusalem governorate.

Repeated Israeli settler attacks on the Ein Samiya wells east of Ramallah damaged critical infrastructure and blocked repairs, cutting the main water supply intermittently for three days and affecting an estimated 100,000 Palestinians across eastern Ramallah governorate.

About 170 Palestinians have been displaced since the beginning of 2026 by the demolition of homes for lack of Israeli-issued building permits, following a record year in 2025 when more than 1,700 Palestinians were displaced due to lack-of-permit demolitions in Area C and East Jerusalem. Israeli Army attack – 1 wounded: Jenin – Israeli troops, continuing their incursions into the city and the refugee camp, raided and searched several more homes, shooting and wounding one resident, Jihad Allam Abu Bakr, before taking him prisoner.

Israeli settler attack: Hebron – 22:40, armed Israeli Occupation settlers, firing live ammunition, stormed the residential Hamroush area of Sa’ir.
