Associate Education Minister David Seymour accuses school lunch programme critics of ‘nitpicking’
In an interview with Q+A’s Jack Tame on Sunday, Associate Education Minister David Seymour has accused critics of the government’s revamped school lunch programme of “nitpicking”.
…no.
No.
It is not ‘nitpicking’ that hungry kids get the school meals they were promised when Seymour took a scalpel to the Food in Schools programme!
The deal was hungry kids get nutritious food at a cheaper price.
What we have got is burnt plastic, food so hot it burnt a student, meals not turning up, meals frozen, meals inedible, meals flown in from Australia, halal food with pork, vegetarian food with meat plus one food company going into liquidation.
Any one having the temerity of challenging any of this is told to go make a marmite sandwich.
They wouldn’t eat this in Bellamy’s, why are we feeding this to our kids?
David should have said:
“I’m as furious as anyone at the contract failures. I have demanded money be removed and held by the Government until the contract is fulfilled to our agreement. It’s not good enough and we have set up teams to step in and ensure our kids are feed”.
That is what he should have said, instead he wanted to smart arse around and own the libs with smart arse woke baiting one liners which are just fucking exhausting.

It’s bloody obvious that Seymour is just singing to his choir of puppeteers, he is a sick puppy and should be nowhere near govt let alone the levers of power. The mongrel Act mob are not representative of normal ordinary New Zealanders. Seymour and Act need to be gotten rid of and fast.
It’s way worse than KiwiBuild ..at least decent houses were being built and the intent was always there to get to 100,000…
There is no comparison to the scaling up required to build that many houses in a 10 year timeframe as opposed to supplying a decent lunch to some schools.
The 40 year old virgin has face planted at his first test…and an easy test by comparison.
Signing a contract with a company, without doing due diligence, without having a clue as to whether they were capable of achieving what was required and with no idea who was going to serve up and cleanup after delivery is pure incompetence and a sackable offence ….
Thus he allowed Compass to cheat over the existing providers to get the contract… This is nod nod wink wink corrupt business at its worst…
Luxon needs to put his big boy pants, take control of the situation, and demote the little twerp…but he won’t…

But Seymour acting like a complete wanker (default setting) once again has people ignoring Brooke Van Sith Lord desperately trying to bring in as many online gambling companies as she can. That’s just as appalling as Davey Douche Bag being himself
Just shows what sort of person he really is ,a first rate arse hole .Luxon is too busy chasing rainbows to be a leader of anything .Luxon should sit the twerp down and sack his sorry arse ,but is too far into the money trail to do that .
Seymour should scrap the current system asap and get the old system back in business starting in term 2 .He might save his arse for a while if he did that .
Seymour or anyone in this Government will never admit that they fucked up (IRex ferry fuckup anyone?). They would rather tank the economy and blow out project costs tenfold than admit failure. These turkeys are dangerous.
