    1. When you go to South Africa jack can you take the women who killed her three young girls in Timaru with ya.

  1. I worked on a couple of treaty claims. The government actually “lost” 30,000 acres of land that was supposed to be allocated to Maori in the Wairarapa. Nothing ever done about it, no compensation no nothing. I was never quite sure how you could lose land let alone 30,000 acres of it. But there you go – when you really, really try.

    1. Here in New Plymouth the records of how over 90% of Maori reserve land ended up in settler hands were also lost. The District Council therefore had no authority to return them directly to local hapu.

  2. I love the Waitangi Tribunal
They make life simple with their recommendations
We either have democracy with everyone’s vote being equal or we have Maori Sovereignty.
    We can’t have both
    Referendum time !

  3. The appointment of Goldsmith and his subsequent reported comments indicate where this government sits on Maori rights and treaty negotiations.
The history Goldsmith was taught was probably the same ethnically cleansed shit I was taught at school.
Isn’t interesting that he was going to be a finance minister in Judith Collins government and has been replaced by a Journalist in Willis. National the government of business run by Journalist, Historian, Cigarette salesman, and a soap salesman come Airline manager that was government owned anyway. Helped by two Onion Maori who are shit scared that real Maori might actually show them up if they are given the chance.

  4. History is interesting when it comes to what is told .Why do apologist for Maori make a big think of Cook, killing 4 Maori on there first encounter and nothing about Te Rauparaha killing 700 as he came South to take revenge for an insult .
Maori had a change of life thrust on them which destroyed a way of life and left many still struggling to make their way and finding their place in society.
It does need to be remembered that not all was great in pre European NZ with tribal war a constant threat .Many of those that signed the treaty did so as a way to stop stronger tribes from killing them or making them salves.

  5. Meanwhile the worlds carbon emissions reach a new high and we briefly reach two degrees above normal temps. 5000 native species in NZ are threatened with extinction due to biodiversity collapse. The culture war is distracting us from the real issues. Ain’t no Maori left in a 6 degree warmer world….

    1. Oh sure Neil. This bunch of absolute muppets, that are in the coalition, would be all over global warming if it wasn’t for addressing the other “inconvenient truth” of Crown theft.
